Dr. Poe’s friendly approach helped me open up and be honest with myself about some really difficult, heavy, and unfamiliar feelings as I navigated several tough life situations– marriage conflict, separation, divorce, fatherhood, work stress, etc. He helped me remember who I am despite those challenges, through those challenges, and even because of those challenges. He created a space where we could talk about having confidence in myself and in my faith (even when it was shaken). Dr. Poe pointed me to remember that when you’re going through, you just have to keep going and understand that there’s purpose in the pain and that pain can motivate you to a different and necessary purpose which is required for this next season of life. I’ve been fortunate to have his perspective as I reimagine the possibilities for my life. I’ve found that Dr. Poe offers a listening ear and shares his wisdom based on his diverse life experiences and his professional practice. He knows how to meet me where I am and constantly works to help me focus on where I want and need to be, even if I’m not immediately able to see it for myself.

Hello Everyone! I want to talk briefly about how Dr. Cecil Poe has really impacted my life in a positive way. I contacted him for marriage counseling, however he guided me in so many other ways as well. You know in life everything is interconnected. Dr. Poe in so many words helped me to connect the dots from my marriage, to my spirituality, to my natural daily walk in this world, to my past experiences that have cultivated me today. Once I was able to understand and process what he was trying to teach and instill in me my life has taken off for the better. My marriage is improving, there is more peace in my marriage. Always remember God has the last say in a marriage according to Matthew 19:6. My spiritual relationship with God has increased in several ways. My daily walk with life is more positive because I am learning to live in the present moment and let God take care of my tomorrow and future days. As far as my past experiences I have realized that everything has happened to me for a reason designed by God. God created me to be more than a conqueror in and through Him and to be a walking living testimony to eventually help other women. I would recommend Dr. Poe, this spiritual father and brother to anyone struggling in life in general. God has blessed him with the gift of healing people mentally, emotionally, and spiritually through his words. Dr. Poe’s gifting and logic is priceless. Since working with Dr. Poe, I have gained so much knowledge about myself and how to work through different issues I have encountered. Dr. Poe is so patient, kind and knowledgeable. I love that Dr. Poe always ties the psychology in the session with religion as that is very important to me.
